The Dodge Charger is “loaded with attitude and innovation” and is “thoroughly competitive” according to recent reviews.

Automedia.com quoted Dodge CEO Ralph Gilles saying the Charger provides “iconic sytling, benchmark performance, precision handling, the latest technology and high-quality materials” and is “loaded with attitude and innovation.”

A Consumer Reports blog said the first impressions are that the ‘transformed’ Charger is now a “thoroughly competitive sedan,” although the magazine has not finished testing yet.
According to Dodge, the Charger’s chassis was designed and engineered to take on the best large sedans, including those from Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Lexus, Automedia.com reported.

Consumer Reports says the base Pentastar V-6 engine is good enough that many buyers won’t feel the need to upgrade, but Automedia.com points out the HEMI V-8 generates “pavement-wrinkling torque, accelerative rush and sensuous soundtrack.”

Consumer Reports also noted the Charger’s interior is “much more pleasant” and that its Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system is a “much easier interface to use than cross-town rival Ford’s MyFord Touch system.”

Automedia.com said the Charger’s interior was impressive with its “ear-pleasing quietness. What noise does filter through is carefully tuned for sound quality, and who doesn’t want to hear that lovely HEMI V-8 at work?”
