May 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Bournemouth is getting ready to welcome Mick Jones and his band Big Audio Dynamite for a show at the O2 Academy next month.

The former Clash guitarist and singer reunited with the group earlier this year after more than a decade apart and they have announced a series of dates around the world.

Big Audio Dynamite will play the Old Fire Station on Thursday June 23rd, the day before they go on stage at Glastonbury Festival.

The south coast gig is likely to act as a warm-up concert for the event, so attendees will effectively be able to enjoy a set that would otherwise be reserved for the lucky few with Glastonbury tickets.

Jones formed Big Audio Dynamite after he left The Clash and the innovative act released a series of albums with varying line-ups and monikers until splitting in 1997.

The show, which is strictly for over-14s, opens at 19:00 BST, with tickets costing £25. The venue is close to both Bournemouth rail station and the smaller Pokesdown hub.
