Sol Y Mar Paradise Beach Resort Celebrates The “Earth Day”.

May 24, 2011 - PRLog -- Learning about and protecting planet Earth is what “Earth Day” is all about, not to mention that “Earth Day” is the most widely celebrated international environmental event. Accordingly, Sol Y Mar Paradise Beach Resort celebrated this event through organizing a number of environmental initiatives. The day was a big success, witnessing the participation of a large number of volunteers not only from the resort’s team members but from the in-house guests who chose to dedicate two hours of their time to aid the cause.
The activities started by an awareness session to educate the participants about the event, its history and importance, followed by a clean up campaign at the parking area, the main roads, the resort’s surrounding and the beach. The collected items were then segregated by the volunteers in different plastic bags for recycling.
Planting a tree on this very special occasion could not have been overlooked. Each guest had the opportunity to plant his own tree in the resort’s main garden; making the day a memorable one for both the resort and participating guests.
The day rounded off by organizing a cocktail reception for the guests as a token of the resort’s appreciation to their active contribution.
