Universal Life Church - We EMBRACE Rather Than INFRINGE Upon Other Faiths

May 24, 2011 - PRLog -- It is no secret that the word universal originates from the Greek language and that it means catholic, which is synonymous with the word Christian (catholic with a small c is defined Christian). The Universal Life Church traces back to of 2nd century origin, it always has been a Christian Church and it will forever be as the name implies a Christian Church.

However, this does not mean we do not embrace ALL FAITHS, on the other hand we will not disrepect any Faiths like other Churches who utilize our Christian name.

When I talk about Faith, I do not categorize satanism or atheism as a Faith. Churches who ordain followers of satan, cannot be classified as anything but a cult, if it makes them feel better to be classified as a satanic Church that is their right to do so. As far as atheism, why would an atheist want to get ordained?

Other Churches who use our Christian Name they can ordain all the followers of satan or atheists they want. My opinion is this; If a follower of satan or an atheist wants to get ordained by a Church with a Christian name, and if they want to display a certificate or carry credentials that state they are ordained by a Church whose name stands for Catholic or Christian Life so be it. I was taught that no satanist or atheist would ever want to associate themselves in such a fashion with Catholicism or Christendom.

It is worth a chuckle Thinking about when others would see their credentials of ordination and see that big C of which Universal originates from and stands for.

"The word catholic (derived via Late Latin catholicus, from the Greek adjective καθολικός (katholikos), meaning "universal" comes from the Greek phrase καθόλου (kath'holou), meaning "on the whole," "according to the whole" or "in general", and is a combination of the Greek words κατά meaning "about" and όλος meaning "whole"

We will NOT DISRESPECT other Faiths by ordaining individuals who practice and/or are of another faith, nor will we sell bogus Certificates or Titles associated with other Faiths.

Others say they embrace all faiths, yet they undermine the Christian Faith and others by paying tribute and by honoring followers of satan. Secondly they undermine other faiths by selling what they claim to be Honorary Titles, such as for Priesthood, rabbi, High Preistess and etc. They may use the word honorary, I use the word bogus and some others including the media use the word FAKE.

Those who do such are not embracing all faiths, they are being disrespectful of & infringing upon other faiths.

We will never resort to such by ordaining individuals we feel are not qualified to be Ministers such as satanists or atheists, nor would we stoop to selling bogus, fake certificates or titles out of greediness or to make a buck.

Again, we embrace and we respect ALL FAITHS, with exception to satanism or atheism. We apologize for not being qualified to ordain those of other faiths, outside of Non-Denominational Ministers or Independent Catholic Priests, but again we will not stoop to selling or issuing BOGUS, FAKE CERTIFICATES OR TITLES. We view that as being disrespectful to and infringement upon the respective Faiths.
