Man puts beard on line for charity

May 26, 2011 - PRLog -- Simon's creative companions decided to get in on the act and help with fund raising by building Manwalksintoabarbershop website and let people choose the beard style he should sport for the charity walk.

Simon is asking members of the public to vote for the beard they would most like to see around his cheeky chops at www.manwalksintoabarbershop.com and he promises to sport the winning one for the trek.

The shaggy, unkempt follicles are up for the chop in styles including Northern Monkey, Dream Beard,  WWWdot, Dr Gizzard, Wizard Walker and Hitler Descent -. But he ‘aint cheap. He’ll only do it if donations reach £2,500.

Since going public about his fuzzy follicles his fundraising has shot up to £2,266. The winning weird beard will be cut into shape on Tuesday, 31st May at 5.00pm, courtesy of the lovely folk at Sharps Barbers, 3a Charlotte Street London WT1 1RH  - photographers and visitors definitely to be encouraged to watch!

The walk starts on Saturday 4th June and finishes on Sunday 5th June. 250 teams of four are taking part this year and have to walk through the night and complete the trek within 30 hours. This awesome trek is the equivalent distance of two and a half marathons and an ascent/decent equivalent to climbing Ben Nevis and Snowdon.
