New Solder Certification/Training Center Location Opens in WV/VA/Wash DC Area

June 1, 2011 - PRLog -- Rocket Center, West Virginia — BEST Inc. announces a working relationship with the Robert C. Byrd Institute for Advanced Flexible Manufacturing (RCBI), West Virginia’s Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center. This new partnership brings practical soldering skills development to the Mid-Atlantic region. The soldering lab at the RCBI Rocket Center facility, which is just over a two-hour drive from Washington, D.C., serves markets in the nation’s capital as well as across the Mid-Atlantic states.

RCBI provides manufacturers and entrepreneurs with access to production and prototyping equipment as well as delivers worker skills training to employers and individuals.
The RCBI Master & Advanced Solder Center of Excellence is outfitted with state-of-the-art and state-of-the-industry soldering equipment. In addition, BEST Inc. and RCBI trainers have been working together for several years as BEST has continued to improve skills in industry and those of instructors while learning just how RCBI’s industry-focused work site and its model machinist-skills training program operates to meet industry needs.

Initially, RCBI will offer IPC CIS-level training services at its center including IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, IPC-JSTD-001 and IPC-7711/21. BEST will offer CIT level classes at the RCBI Solder Center in IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, IPC-JSTD-001 and IPC-7711/21. Other customized training, including training at client companies’ locations, will be offered by RCBI.
