Ling & Louie’s Ready for Shot at the Title as Sole Chinese Restaurant at Scottsdale Charity Event

June 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Ling and Louie are ready to rumble.

   The popular Ling & Louie’s Asian Bar & Grill, located at 9397 East Shea Boulevard, is ready to knock out the competition at the “Bite Nite” event benefitting the ALS Association Arizona Chapter and Spark of Hope on June 11.

   Ling & Louie’s will be in hand-to-hand culinary combat with five other area restaurants in search of the Bite Nite title, which will be decided for the first time by a vote of those attending the event.  The winner will be named “Bite Nite Heavyweight Champion,” a title that Ling and Louie think would be right up their alley.

   “It’s go time,” said E. John Banquil, Regional General Manager of Ling & Louie’s. “We’re ready to put up our unique mix of modern Asian and American comfort food against anyone who wants a shot at us.  We’re confident that when it comes time for the stir fry to fly, we’ll emerge with the Bite Nite Heavyweight Champion belt.”

   “But in all seriousness, Bite Nite is a great event and a wonderful opportunity for those in attendance to sample some great food from local restaurants,” he said. “We’re very happy to be part of the lineup and encourage everyone to attend to help these important charities.

   The culinary event featuring signature appetizers, entrées, desserts and drinks will take place Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Scottsdale Resort & Conference Center. It will feature Ling & Louie’s Asian Bar & Grill, Humble Pie, Wildfish, Cien Agaves and 5th & Wine.

   VIP Bite Club Premium tickets, with overnight accommodations, are available for $349 a couple or $229 for individuals.  VIP Bite Club event only tickets are available for $279 a couple or $159 for individuals.  Regular admission tickets to the Bite Nite main event are $149 a couple or $79 for individuals.   For more information please visit BiteNite.org or Sparkofhope.org.
         There is currently no known cause or cure for ALS and it is 100% fatal. In 2011 The ALS Association Arizona Chapter will provide services to over 350 families throughout Arizona. The ALS Association Arizona Chapter will use the funds to provide equipment, information, resources, programs and fund research.  Spark of Hope will use benefits from the 2011 Bite Nite to fund the implementation of an ALS children’s program.   2010’s inaugural event raised more than $82,000.
