June 13, 2011 - PRLog -- The Sequoia is Toyota's largest SUV, and is available with a choice between two powerful V8 engines, a 4.6L V8 and an even more powerful 5.7L V8. When properly equipped for optimum performance the Sequoia can pull almost 10,000 pounds and seat up to eight adults comfortably in its three rows of seats, which can be fitted with trusty fabric or cool leather in the color of your choosing.

The Sequoia comes in three trim levels, the SR5, the Limited and last but not least the top-of-the-line Platinum Edition. A new feature for the Sequoia is the edition of an on/off switch to control the daytime running lights. Also, the Sequoia's Platinum Edition takes on a new wood-grain interior trim, but other than that the Sequoia remains virtually unchanged for 2011.

The 2011 Toyota Sequoia rides around with a "two-box" figure, but it doesn't have the unattractive bump-strips on the side doors. Much like Toyota's ever-popular Tundra pickup truck, the Sequoia wears it's large chrome grille with pride.

Exterior features include a choice of either 18 or 20-inch rims, running boards for comfortable ingress and egress, power-operated and heated side mirrors, fog lamps for safety, daytime running lights with a newly added on/off control switch as well as the choice of an available roof rack.

The second row slides smoothly out of the way with the simple lift a lever, making it easy to get into those third-row seats. Large and well-placed air-conditioning knobs are conveniently perched in the middle of the dash. For media friendly standard features the Sequoia has both bluetooth and a USB port.

Other interior features include roomy available seating for seven or eight passengers, a tri-zone automatic air conditioning that penguins would appreciate, power windows and power door locks for ease, as well as keyless entry, a CD stereo system, the adjustable comfort of a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, cruise control for the long drive, an available power-operated third row, available navigation system with 7-inch screen and backup camera for safety, an optional DVD entertainment system with a whopping 9-inches of screen, available heated and ventilated front seats, as well as heated second-row seats and last but not least the power lift gate and sunroof.

The Sequoia also added in both driver and passenger knee airbags to the list of standard equipment for the 2010 model year. Other standard safety features include a total of eight airbags, an electronic stability system, traction control, anti-lock brakes which also incorporate both the brake assist and the electronic brake-force distribution system, available front and rear parking sensors and a backup camera for safety.

The Sequoia received a new base engine last year, the 4.6L i-Force V8, which delivers 34 horsepower more than the previous version.

The 5.7L V8 remains the engine of choice for most trim levels, and it comes standard on both the Limited and Platinum models. The flex-fuel version is also available. Both of the V8's are paired with the powerful six-speed automatic transmission. Mechanical features of the Sequoia include a 310 horsepower, 4.6L V8 engine with 327 pound-feet of torque, and a 381 horsepower, 5.7L V8 engine with 401 pound-feet of torque, a six-speed automatic transmission, four-wheel-independent suspension and an available air suspension system with a handy load-leveling feature.
