Acekard/R4i gold/R4isdhc/Dstwo/Dstti support both 3ds 2.0.0-2 J/E/U and dsi v1.4.2

June 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Nintendo Dsi v1.4.2 new firmware blocked many flashcards last month,not long after that,Nintendo 3DS 2.0.0-2 J/E/U released...and there was a lot of apprehension about what this 3DS update would have for 3DS flashcard users. Along with that, there was a lot of fear that the 3DS update would initiate a policy of bricking 3DS console when using a flash card.The result is all the rumors are entirely wrong, the 3DS console is not at any risk of being bricked.To the best of my knowledge, Acekard/R4i gold/R4isdhc/Dstwo/Dstti are those which support both 3ds 2.0.0-2 J/E/U and dsi v1.4.2..other flashcards will have their own fixes as time goes a long...

Additionally,the r4i wood kernel 1.31b has already released.You may now update your r4i gold.I guess you might also noticed that old r4i gold has stopped producing for one or two months , i dont think the retailers still have many old cards in stock, if they have ,i doubt it is from R4ids.cn site.Anyway, i suggest you guys should to buy a R4i gold 3DS card instead of the non-3DS R4i gold , because the latest R4i gold 3DS card can support V2.0 directly , no need to update any patch , just use the wood V1.31.


2.Acekard 2i
Acekard team also produced an update to bypass the new firmware.At the same time,they released the fixes for Nintendo DSi v1.4.2,which has been waiting since last month...You need to choose update file according to your console. If you're using DSi or DSXL please use ak2ifw_update_3ds_v2_DSi.nds to update. If you're using DSL or DSPhat please use ak2ifw_update_3ds_v2_DSL.nds to update.
Just follow the instructions after you run the update file.

3. Supercard dstwo

If you have not updated your 3DS to 2.0.0-2,then you can directly update the patch and install it.Otherwise,you might need a DS or DSi to istall the patch if you have already updated your 3DS to 2.0.This update is just for who only has 3DS console.I suggest you to upgrade on a never upgraded console or a DS, it's much safer!Please follow the guide, or there is a risk of bricking!
Step 1 Essential condition: your DSTWO must be recognized on the ver2.0 3DS console. And you can see the icon of it.
Step 2Upgrade.
(i) rename the dstwoupdate.dat as dstwoupdateb.dat. Then copy dstwoupdateb.dat to the root of microsd card.
(ii) Inject microsd card into DSTWO, then inject DSTWO into 3DS console. Turn on the console and enter DSTWO, you will see the screen which said "An error has occurred.Press and hold the Power Button to turn the system off.Please see the Nintendo DSi Operations manual for help troubleshooting"(it also appears on Japanese version console), please stay here and wait 3 minutes (it's very important, and must be 3 minutes! Or it's very dangerous for DSTWO!), please dont do anything except waitting.Turn off the console after 3 minutes, then delect dstwoupdateb.dat file from your microsd card. (very important! You have to delect it!)Ok, that's all, enjoy DSTWO on your ver2.0 3DS!
