By: Open Door PR England played their first International Polo Test Match this year at the St Regis International Test Match, Cowdray on Saturday 21st May where England team were defeated by a strong South American foursome. The third and final International test match follows the hotly anticipated clash at Beaufort Polo Club on the 18th June, for the Coronation Cup at Guards on Sunday July 24 between England and Brazil. The International Test match held at Beaufort is part of Beaufort Polo Clubs two-day annual Country Fair held on both Saturday 18th June and Sunday 19th June. Both days provide a fun packed family day out with an opportunity to watch world-class polo. Saturday 18th June hosts England Vs New Zealand at 3pm followed by England Ladies vs Young England at 4.45. Sunday polo offers the chance to enjoy the Bernard Weatherill Charity Polo match, where the Royal Salute sponsored Strathisla will take on home side Beaufort. Some of the country’s most famous players will help to raise money for the Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund and the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign, whose patrons are HRH The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry. Between chukkas bask in the English sunshine and enjoy a wide range of country pursuits, top-class exhibits and spectator events for the whole family, including bungee trampoline, face painting, hamster balls, a jazz band and a shopping village with over 50 trade stands. The Club was revived by the Tomlinsons in 1989 and now attracts top international players to its grounds.
