June 13, 2011 - PRLog -- PHILADELPHIA — Frank M. Rapoport, a partner in the Philadelphia and New York offices of McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP (MLA), will speak at PPP Bulletin International’s “Winning Bids in the USA” on June 23, 2011 at the Hilton London Canary Wharf.  Rapoport will join former Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell and other transportation industry leaders for a day-long conference that will provide practical information to delegates who are looking to win new public-private partnerships (P3) business. MLA is also a sponsor of this conference.

In “Winning Bids in the USA: Straight Talk on How to Capture P3 Deals in the States,” Rapoport will provide his perspective on who to team with and in which states and cities most of the action will take place; opportunities and challenges for engineering and construction firms in social infrastructure, transportation and energy; and provide tips on how to strategize political issues to create a win-win for government and the concessionaire.

As chair of MLA’s Global Infrastructure and P3 practice, Rapoport works with concessionaires, contractors, developers, engineers and their financial backers that seek a strategic foothold in the U.S. P3 market.  He is well regarded for his ability to strategize and implement profitable business initiatives for clients in industries such as transportation, real estate, construction, design and engineering, defense and aerospace, security, life sciences, health care, information technology and government services.  Rapoport has testified before state legislatures to encourage passage of P3 legislation in Colorado and Pennsylvania and published numerous articles on funding infrastructure projects through P3 legislation.
