HOUSTON, TX, JUNE 14, 2011:  Fredy KIA, The Fastest Growing KIA Dealership in the United States, is owned by a true immigrant success story. As an immigrant from El Salvador, Fredis Romero truly has grasped the concept of the ‘American Dream’. Starting from humble beginnings after moving to Houston in 1987 and eventually owning a few body shops, he saw the opportunity to enter the sales side of the automobile industry. He entered used car sales to sell to those who couldn’t afford to buy new vehicles, and has been doing so for the past twenty-two years. He began on Washington Avenue in Downtown Houston, and now owns five in house financing locations as well as one franchise KIA dealership. In June of 2008, Fredis acquired Fredy KIA, and has brought it to be the #1 dealership in Houston for the last eighteen months. When asked about his favorite aspect about the automotive industry, Fredis most enjoys “helping the customer get a vehicle that is necessary for their success”. In regard to success, Fredis believes that the most important factor determining a dealerships success is the “relationships that are built with the customers”. In addition to being an outstanding salesman, Fredis also is a deacon at his church, and spends a large portion of his time there, with his wife and three children, or doing missionary work. He feels that owning a franchise dealership, as well as all the missionary work he has done with his family, are two of his greatest accomplishments.
