Herbert Fenster Celebrates 50th Anniversary at McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP

June 14, 2011 - PRLog -- DENVER — The Denver law office of McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP (MLA) has announced that Herbert Fenster, senior counsel in the firm’s nationally-recognized government contracts practice, has reached his 50th anniversary with the firm.  Fenster began his career with MLA as a summer clerk in the Washington, DC office in 1960 and joined the firm the following year.

In addition to being an accomplished and aggressive litigator with a great sense of strategy and tactics, Fenster is a noted authority on constitutional and federal administrative law, government contracts, intellectual property law, environmental law, and product liability and toxic torts, including government contractor defense.  Fenster also writes and lectures on government and administrative law subjects, including government finance and accounting from both an industry and government perspectives.  He is often called upon for his extensive experience in the negotiation, interpretation, and litigation of contracts for major weapons systems, as well as the procurement of research and development.

He served as litigation counsel for the Reagan-Bush Campaign Committee and for the Grace Commission. Fenster is a director of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce National Chamber Litigation Center and a corporate and foundation director and trustee. He is also the General Counsel of the National Defense University Foundation.

He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School and hold degrees in architecture/civil engineering, history, and economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
