June 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Ripface Invasion announces the video premiere for their song “The Last One On Earth” on June 28, 2011.  Ripface Invasion is a coalition of veteran musicians from the New Jersey punk/hardcore scene from over the past 20 years.  Even though they all lead separate lives, they managed to come together and do what they all love, play hard edge energy driven music.
Ripface Invasion was formed in December of 2010 by Anthony (Red) Paladino.  He is lead vocalist and occasionally plays second guitar.  Red is the founding member and leader of Earache Records 1997 new chapter punk recording artist IDK, since their creation in 1990.  To help mold the brutally energetic sound and attitude of Ripface Invasion, Red recruited experienced and motivated musicians from the New Jersey punk/hardcore scene.
Ripface Invasion developed a new sound for new and old generations to hear with their thrash punk/hardcore crossover style.  They blend punk rock with comic art and live action.  “We didn’t want to make a typical punk/hardcore video with a bunch of people slam dancing, we wanted to get a little creative and save the slam dancing for the live shows,” Red said.  Ripface Invasion displays their new sound and style on video with their song “The Last One On Earth”.  The song tells a story about the character Ripface Meltech.  As unknown forces descend upon the earth, Ripface and his small band of commandos engage in the attack to defend their land.  Then, after the attack Ripface awakes to find that he is the only survivor.   The video consists of live footage of the band playing the song, comic art work, and action footage of the character, Ripface Meltech, acting out his story.
The Ripface Invasion art work in the video features work created by Troy Boyle, Rock Baker, Splash!!!, Kevin Thompson, Roland Bird, Geoffrey Gwin, Keith J. Betancourt, and Red’s personal tattooist, Needles.  Joe Martino, Thomas Mason, and Jeff Austin also contributed their talents in the video by creating art work specifically for the band.  “Being a fan of the ShadowFlame comics, I reached out to the creator,” Red said.  Joe Martino is known for the ShadowFlame comic series that he created.  He was enthused about the project, and also recommended other artists, who include Thomas Mason and Jeff Austin.  Thomas Mason did colors for Marvel Comics titles, which included the X-Men.  Jeff Austin worked on AC Comics titles, such as the FemForce.
The video was directed by Red and Mike Heinzer.  Heinzer also produced the video, which he was not unfamiliar with, as he produced the video for the song “Tear You Apart”, by recording artist Homicidal, who are on Eulogy Records.  All camera work was done by Heinzer, Taavi, and Sammy Orrego, who also conducted the lighting.
On June 28, 2011, you can check out the video on several websites.  The websites include www.ripfaceinvasion.com, www.facebook.com/ripfaceinvasion, www.youtube.com/ripfaceinvasion, and www.stereokiller.com/ripfaceinvasion.  Also, on the same date you can purchase the single of “The Last One On Earth” through iTunes and Amazon.
