You only live once, right?

Steve Burgess, one of the UK’s most experienced clinical hypnotherapists has written a book revealing little-known facts about some of the famous lives he has uncovered during his thousands of past life regression sessions with clients.

June 24, 2011 - PRLog -- A frosty reception was on the cards when the present-day incarnations of Tudor sisters Elizabeth I and Mary I (Bloody Mary) got together. Steve Burgess, one of the UK’s most experienced clinical hypnotherapists, brought together two of his Past Life Regression (PLR) clients, each of whom appear to have lived a previous life as a member of this most famous historical family.

“I was very excited to see how they’d react to one another some 400 years after they were last together. Would they feel some kind of connection?” commented Steve. However, the meeting was not at all as he had anticipated. “I was surprised to see the reaction they had to one another, but it became clear that the bitterness in their relationship in those past lives had carried through to this one. So much so that even though they’d never met one another in current times, they felt an instant resentment and disliking for one another.”

And whilst not every one who undergoes PLR therapy can lay claim to such lofty past lives, it is those experiences that form the basis of Steve’s first book, Famous Past Lives, which details the memories of their former famous ‘alter egos’, revealing many details known only to historians, such as little-known facts about ‘the Virgin Queen’s’ affair with Robert Dudley. Whilst under regression, the client not only experienced the intimate side of their relationship, but also went on to relive the birth of their love child!

“I only ask basic questions such as ‘where are you now?’ so as to not make suggestions that become ‘memories’. Each PLR session is different – I never know where a client’s subconscious will take them and which past life we will end up in!” continued Steve.

Other famous lives uncovered in the book include a victim of the notorious Jack the Ripper, an airman from the Dambusters raid and one of the intrepid explorers from the Scott of the Antarctic expedition. Perhaps one of the most surprising is a retired boxer, who left school with no formal qualifications and appears to have lived a former life as William Shakespeare. It’s highly unlikely that he could have known this level of detail about the Bard – including knowledge of an extra-marital affair – if he hadn’t actually have been him in a former life.

Steve, who first became involved in hypnotherapy in the late 1980s when his father successfully gave up smoking using hypnotherapy, has completed many thousands of past life regressions – many of them of course being very mundane lives.

It is widely believed that we have all lived before. The stored knowledge of these past lives can contribute to, and affect, our present one. Past life regression therapy can help us relive a previous incarnation. PLR can be used to treat the underlying issues associated with many conditions including anxiety and phobias, stress, weight problems and lack of confidence.

Published by O Books Famous Past Lives is available through Amazon, Waterstone’s and on Kindle. Signed copies can also be purchased from www.famouspastlives.com.

The book is a fascinating and thought-provoking read and will be of interest to both believers and sceptics alike.
