Nature's Formations Launches New Website

June 27, 2011 - PRLog -- Innovative Use of Giant Gunnera Leaves

Ontario, CA -- Nature's Formations announced today the launch of its
new website at http://www.naturesformations.com.  The website showcases a new
an innovative process for creating a unique line of giant leaf
castings. Placed under trees and around taller shrubs, the enormous
leaves can be used to create waterfalls, water features, garden
furniture, or conversations pieces. To create the formations, large
Gunnera leaves serve as molds to create giant castings of that
intrigue the senses. The result is a structurally strong but
lightweight leave that retains much of the original plant structure.
"One of the most unique things about our leaf castings, is that they
are molded from an actual leaf from nature. To be more specific, the
Gunnera plant. We sand cast the leaves, taking special care to try and
maintain the natural structure of the foliage." says owner Jeff
Schmidt. Schmidt got the idea for the leaf castings while serving as
general manager of RicoRock Formations, Nature's Formations parent
company.  "I saw something similar in a magazine, and we used that as
a springboard for our first design.  Now we are coming up with new
ideas all of the time."
The new website features a product image gallery that showcases
several variations of natural Gunnera leaf shapes and structures as
well as a downloadable PDF catalog of products.
Nature's Formations parent company, Rock Formations CA, LLC, is based
in Fontana, California and is a manufacturer of precast GFRC rock,
waterfall, pond, and structural facades.
