Consistent Distance Callaway FT i-Brid Iron Set Review

July 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Golf news- The Evian Masters in France will be the fifth major on the LPGA Tour, Golfweek magazine is reporting. The Evian Masters, held in the south of France in July, offers prize money of $3.5 million. That's equal to the U.S. Women's Open as the top purse on the LPGA Tour. Golfweek cites sources as saying the announcement is expected in two weeks. The tour's other majors are the Kraft Nabisco Championship, the LPGA Championship, the U.S. Women's Open and the Women's British Open. Evian agreed to several changes by LPGA Tour commissioner Mike Whan, including lengthening the course, Golfweek reported. The tournament likely would move to the fall, according to the report.

At first glance you may think that the Callaway FT i-brid irons are for high handicappers only. True, they are very forgiving and easy to hit, so if you struggle with normal irons then these could be the ones for you(Cheap Golf Drivers). However the trajectory produced right through the set is very good and not the high ballooning shot you would expect. The feel was surprisingly good and at address they looked OK despite extra weight at the back of the head. The longer irons would actually make great hybrid clubs as part of a larger set, so whilst mid or even low handicappers would not be seen dead with these at 7-PW, they would be wise to swallow their pride and have a go at some of the longer irons as they are a joy to hit.
