“In effect, we can offer an entire university’s course catalogue, downloadable to mobile devices, to be studied and interacted with on the student’s schedule, and make it cost-accountable,” Allogy Interactive launched a pilot program at International Leadership University last year and the preliminary results were impressive. Every one of the 34 mLearning students successfully completed their course work. Only 60 percent of a control group of 23 students who attended classes at the university successfully completed the course work, Forward said. Allogy Interactive launched a second pilot earlier this year that included more features. “We are able to offer an entire course and the students may download each component as they need it,” Forward said. “In addition, the students and university instructors can interact with each other using their mobile devices just as if they were in a classroom together,” Forward said. Students especially appreciated instant feedback on quizzes and tests, Forward said. “We now have the technology to offer an entire university study program over a mobile device,” Forward said. “That means no more ‘late for class,’ no more lost notes, and the dog will never eat a student’s homework,” Forward said.
