Franklin, MA Home Prices, Sales Down First Half 2011

Aug. 20, 2011 - PRLog -- The median price and sales of homes in Franklin, Massachusetts decreased in the first half of 2011, according to data analyzed by Buyers Brokers Only LLC, an exclusive buyer agent real estate firm.

The median price of single-family homes declined 4.3 percent in the first half of 2011 compared to the previous year, a difference of $16,250.  Single-family home sales in Franklin, MA fell 12.1 percent in the first six months of 2011, a difference of 14 sales compared to the previous year.  

From January through June 2011, the median price of condominiums decreased 21.7 percent, or $61,450 compared to the first half of 2010.  Condominium sales fell 27.8 percent, a difference of 15 sales.  

The median price of multi-family homes fell 5.2 percent in Q1 and Q2 compared to the same period in 2010, a difference of $15,000.  Sales of multi-family homes rose 66.7 percent in the first six months of 2011, a difference of only two sales compared to the six-month period in 2010.

The data were compiled using MLS Property Information Network, Inc, a local multiple listing service.
