Canton, MA Home Prices Rise, Sales Fall First Half 2011

Aug. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- The median home price in Canton, Massachusetts increased from January through June in 2011, but sales decreased, according to data analyzed by Buyers Brokers Only LLC, an exclusive buyer agent real estate firm.

The data were compiled using MLS Property Information Network, Inc, a local multiple listing service.

The median price of single-family homes rose 1.8 percent in the first half of 2011 compared to the previous year, a difference of $7,500.  Single-family home sales in Canton, MA decreased 24.1 percent in the first six months of 2011, a difference of 19 sales compared to the previous year.  

During the first half of 2011, the median price of condominiums increased 13.9 percent, or $35,300 compared to the same period first half of 2010.  Condo sales fell 5.9 percent, a difference of only two sales.  

The median price of multi-family homes rose 3.9 percent  through June 30, 2011 compared to the previous year, a difference of $14,000.  Sales of multi-family homes rose 50 percent in the first six months of 2011, a difference of only one sale compared to the six-month period in 2010.
