Minister Daniel Sweet and Gov. Rick Perry Calls USA to Prayer | Prayer Day for USA

July 13, 2011 - PRLog -- God's Word First Christian Ministry will be participating in the prayer event by holding a National Prayer Day for USA Conference Phone Call on Saturday, August 6, 2011.

Anyone interested in listening in to the call and praying with us in spirit may do so.
Although God’s Word First does not agree with all the doctrinal beliefs of The Response founders, nor do they condone some of the controversial actions, they fully support their heart of love in wishing for all people to turn their hearts to God in prayer for the benefit of our nation.

God’s Word First is encouraging all Christians to come together in prayer on August 6, 2011 anytime between 10:00AM to 5:00PM.  Regardless of denomination, we Christians are all family as brothers and sisters in Christ.

Please pray for yourself, your family and for your country on Saturday, August 6, 2011 anytime between 10:00AM to 5:00PM. If we all raise up our hearts and our voices to God together at the same time, He will most certainly hear our prayers.

Jesus Christ said, “Again I say unto you, that if two [or more] of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:19-20 KJV) There is strength in numbers!

Governor Rick Perry, while endorsing this event of national prayer, is quoted as saying,
“Right now, America is in crisis: we have been besieged by financial debt, terrorism, and a multitude of natural disasters. As a nation, we must come together and call upon God to guide us through unprecedented struggles, and thank Him for the blessings of freedom we so richly enjoy. I sincerely hope you’ll join me in asking God’s forgiveness, wisdom and provision for our state and nation. There is hope for America. It lies in heaven, and we will find it on our knees.”

Pray that we elect into office more Godly men with Christian values like Gov. Perry.

Some say mixing politics with religion is dangerous. To this Daniel Sweet, founder and senior minister at God’s Word First replied, “I agree, it is dangerous. It could turn into a revolution where righteousness prevails. We need more elected officials and corporate leaders who maintain Godly values. Prayer is a good start but certainly not an end to a means. We all must take action to effect change and make a difference starting within our own hearts then radiating outward.”
