Aug. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- DENVER – The Legal Service Providers Association, the only organization dedicated to the growth and promotion of service providers in the legal industry, today announced that its next webinar, scheduled for August 16 at 1:30 pm ET, will focus on the risks of collecting ESI during the e-discovery process. The webinar will be led by Jason Parks, owner of MD5 Group and a veteran in the digital litigation support field.

Registration is complimentary for all individuals interested in avoiding the dangers of collecting e-discovery data in a non-forensically sound manner.  This error can jeopardize the ability to defend a client by resulting in such actions as missed data and incorrect time stamps. The webinar will focus on the steps that litigation-focused professionals can take to ensure the integrity of their e-discovery process. Park will also discuss using best practices for forensics to protect data and which certification courses will prepare you for any e-discovery challenge.

The webinar will also cover:

•   Basic principles in forensically sound data acquisition
•   Live system evidence collection
•   Electronic evidence process for litigation support
•   The four main certifications in computer forensics and which ones are ideal for e-discovery
