Iiftians “friendship Day With Pals In A Healthy Way !!!

Aug. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- IIFT, Surat always believe in celebration and to keep the bond of friendship day among students healthier, IIftians celebrated the friendship day on 6 August, 2011 with their pals by donating blood with their pals, exchanging health messages on friendship band  and attending session on “Healthy relationship “by city based expert.
Friends have an important role to play in everyone's life. They stand aside you at times when you feel lonely and seek support to recuperate from bad times. So, to express your appreciation and celebrate the joy of being friend Friendship Day 2011 is just the perfect occasion. Also it is said that "True friendship is like sound health; the value of it is seldom known until it be lost". To feel its importance in one’s life and to embrace the new trend IIftians celebrated the day in a healthy way.
Their day celebration started with Session on “Awareness related to Sexual health” by Dr Shelley Vyas, Dr Bhansari Chawda and  Dr Sonal Dayama, Resident Doctor from PSM department, Government Medical College. In this session students probe the questions to doctor related to aids, personal care and other issues related to sexual health. Also the important points related to smoking and drinking habits and how our friends can create awareness to stop its excess intake can be controlled were discussed.
Secondly around 25 students of IIFt donated the blood on this day with their friends. Students of IIft felt happy from heart by donating blood and attending this health session.  “We always celebrate this day with friends but this time, we got opportunity to celebrate in a healthy way. Also we have got the chance to meet new friends and celebrate with great joy, “Said by the students of IIFT in excitement. There were many of them who didn’t feel good because of the certain criteria required to donate blood were not fulfilled by the students.
According to the Faculties of IIFT, “The Main purpose of this Day was to create awareness among the students. As friendship is a healthy realation and to keep it safe, students need lots of guidance at every step. So we have kept the objective in mind and arranged such session. The day celebration really worked out as the right time and right age to spread the awareness about the “Relationship problems”. Said the Faculties.
Finally they enjoyed their day celebration with friends by making “buddy” of the year game and dance masti. The entire friendship day was celebrated with much gaiety across Surat like elsewhere. So we ask all surtis to celebrate this friendship day with friends by gifting good health tips to their loved ones.
