PRLog -- The Theosophical Society was founded in 1875 in New York with the intention of synthesizing the perennial Wisdom of the East with the spiritual traditions of the West. It took as its central mission the discovery and nurturing of a new World-Teacher who would herald a new age, the new Christ or Maitreya -- they thought they had found this World-Teacher, and a leader for the organization of the Theosophical Society, but he left the organization just at the moment he was becoming its head, saying that he had discovered no organization could lead man to truth.

Leadbeater, A.P. Warrington, C. Jinarajadasa and others who are in the midst of dealing with the departure of the ‘star’ of the Theosophical Society: J. Krishnamurti.
