Christian Hip Hop Artists Called “Richer” than Forbes Hip Hop Cash Kings

Aug. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- NEW YORK-Forbes just released its 2011 Hip Hop Cash Kings list topped by Jay-Z who earned a reported $37 million in the past 12 months. But Dianna Hobbs, Founder and Editor In Chief of urban Christian web publication, EEWMagazine.com claims those featured on EEW Magazine’s “10 Men Leading the Way” Christian Hip Hop list, are far richer than Forbes’ Hip Hop Cash Kings. The “10 Men” list features Christian Hip Hop artists, urban media outlets, and music artists who are advancing the faith-based urban movement. The list was released on www.eewmagazine.com/10men in partnership with leading Christian Hip Hop site, DaSouth.com.  

Unlike the Forbes list, which focuses on how much cold hard cash Hip Hop’s elite raked in within the past 12 months, Hobbs has a different vision for  the “10 Men” list. “No matter the size of your fortune, a person is truly rich when they have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ,” she says. “Many of the urban leaders are blessed and thriving, but the kind of riches EEW celebrates are spiritual in nature.”

On this year’s list Grammy-nominated Christian rapper and co-owner of Reach Records, Lecrae, is featured along with popular Xist Music arists Da’ T.R.U.T.H., The Ambassador, and Sean Simmonds, and media executive Aziz Peregrino Brimah, co-owner of DaSouth.com, and others.

These men who seek to set the generation’s affections upon Christ, deem it an honor to be selected.
