Aug. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- Over the past 5 months, PollBob has been making waves in the online and mobile polling space. With the launch of their Beta website and iPhone app back in April,  PollBob has become the first fully integrated website and iPhone application focused solely on on-the-go, real time polling.  

Polling in general has long been one of the most popular features on sites across the internet.  Sites like PollDaddy have provided sites with the ability for websites to quickly poll their visitors.  But what about people who do not own a website or have the traffic to get votes on their polls?  Enter PollBob.

PollBob has built a community of people who enjoy taking polls.  This allows anyone, whether they own their own website or not, to quickly gauge popular opinion.  But they did not stop there.  PollBob has also integrated social networking and game mechanics into their platform making it even more engaging to its loyal userbase.  Social networking allows users to track polls that friends create and take and also track their opinions on different polls, while game mechanics incentivize users to create, take, and share polls with friends.  Along with the game mechanics, PollBob awards top users each week and month with cash prizes.  

Besides just a place to create, take, and share polls, PollBob is also a great place to quickly find out what people think by searching PollBob’s massive database of polls.  Each question that gets created gets stored in PollBob’s database where they are quickly accessible from both PollBob’s website and iPhone app.  Over time, PollBob hopes to build the largest online resource for polls that can be utilized by researchers, businesses, students, and more.  The web is overflowing with knowledge based information, from answers.com to quora, but when you want to find popular opinions, nothing really exists.  And PollBob hopes to fill this gap on the web.  

In just under 5 months, PollBob has already generated over 7,000 polls that have resulted in over 300,000 votes.

PollBob just recently raised a second round of funding and will officially launch and market the product at the end of the month.
