Aug. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- In the summer of 1975, two years after the arrest and conviction of serial killer Gerard Schaefer,  a badly decomposed female body was found on Ulrich Rd in Fort Pierce. She was found by two fisherman. For days the case was investigated under the name of Jane Doe.
Finally she was identified as 33 year old Pauline Metler. The case involved three counties and several law enforcement agencies. There was no cooperation by anyone who was interviewed. The case was stonewalled at every turn. The case went cold after several months.
The frustration of law enforcement was at an all time high.

In 1976 a incarcarated defendant told his counselor that he had been invloved with a murder the year before.
This caused the agencies to reopen the case. There were three men involved in the murder and they all turned on each other to try and receive a lessor sentence.
This novel is Pauline's story. She was buried in a puaper's grave and forgotten. This story is so that she will never be forgotten again.
