Gregory Martin Announces 2012 Presidential Bid with Federal Election Commission Filing

WEATHERFORD, TX – August 11, 2011--Another Texan has entered the Republican Presidential race.  Businessman, Economist, and Author Greg Martin, has announced he will run in 2012. Martin, a 50-year- old native Texan, recently returned to the Metroplex after residing 17 years on the East Coast. Martin accurately forecast the stock market crashes of 1987, 2000 and 2002, as well as the real estate and banking/credit wipeouts.

Not being a professional politician, is what many believe could be his distinct advantage. He owes no favors to any Lobby or special interest groups. Martin said, “Political brinksmanship and complicit destruction of the U.S. economy have influenced my decision to run for President. For the first time in the history of this nation, America’s credit rating has been lowered which is unfathomable and unconscionable!”  Also, Martin believes border security is deficient and vehemently opposes a Texas Trans-Corridor highway. “America must not be sold out to the highest bidder. The stock market is reacting to a lack of true leadership which America cannot afford; we need jobs and action, not more promises,” said Martin.

Greg has a broad base of political and professional contacts and friends including former Pennsylvania State Rep. and Gubernatorial candidate, Sam Rohrer. Another friend, John Carman, is a former Secret Service and U.S. Customs & Immigration Border Patrol Agent, who served on the Gerald Ford Presidential Detail at The White House, and later with President Jimmy Carter. Carman said, “I will do whatever I can to help Greg win in 2012.”

Martin is married, with 6 children and 7 grandchildren. The entrepreneur formed his first company in 1979. His education includes an MBA and Doctorates in Law and Business Administration. He is the business partner of Hollywood actor, Nick Mancuso. Mancuso said “Greg is a leader who understands that America is in serious trouble. He cares about people. America is ‘Under Siege’ and I believe he is the right person for the job--he understands the problems Americans face daily.”
