Attorney Shawn Seliger establishes private law practice in Bonita Springs and launches new website

Aug. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Southwest Florida attorney Shawn Seliger has established a private law practice doing business as the Law Office of Shawn Seliger, located at 9990 Coconut Road, Suite 372, Bonita Springs, FL 34135 (near Treeline). He has also launched a new firm website at http://www.SouthwestFloridaLawyer.com. Mr. Seliger was formerly an attorney at Bergermann & Seliger Law Firm in Fort Myers for over five years.

"I want to advance legal advocacy in Southwest Florida by integrating high technology and a personal approach to create an efficient, organized and responsive law firm that will always put clients' interests first," said Mr. Seliger. His primary areas of practice will continue to be family and marital law, criminal defense and real estate law.  

A 1993 graduate of the University of California - Davis with an A.B. degree in Political Science, Mr. Seliger taught at an inner city high school in South Central Los Angeles before becoming an attorney. He attended law school at Southern Illinois University School of Law and graduated in 2001. He served as a Certified Legal Intern and then as Assistant State Attorney in north Florida before becoming an Assistant Public Defender in Southwest Florida.

Mr. Seliger was admitted to the State of Florida Bar in 2002 and admitted to practice in the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida in 2002. Additionally, he was admitted to practice in the US Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces in 2004. He is a member in good standing with The Florida Bar, Lee County Bar Association, and the Association of Family Law Professionals.

Shawn Seliger is widely known for his extensive involvement with local charitable work. He serves on the boards of directors and is actively involved with the American Cancer Society of Lee County, Lee Mental Health Center, Lee County Coalition for a Drug-Free Southwest Florida and serves as the Vice President of Voices for Kids of Southwest Florida covering the Twentieth Judicial Circuit of Florida.
