Aug. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Like many of you, I am enjoying Social Media (mostly). I enjoy hearing about old friends and keeping up with the daily lives of my children, who are grown and out of the house, and I enjoy helping my clients to reap the benefits of Social Media Optimization. But I have found an aspect of this that I really enjoy-recruiting! Our company is blessed to be continually growing, and the struggle is to maintain the tight-knit family atmosphere that we currently enjoy in our office while increasing our workforce to make sure that we do a good job of servicing our customers.

Our last 2 new hires have come from Facebook and Twitter posts from our employees. The new employees come into our firm with someone they already have a relationship with, and I find that our team becomes personally invested in the success of a new hire that they have had a hand in recruiting or that their fellow employee can vouch for.

As an employer, I am excited to make a new hire without spending money on ads, reviewing numerous resumes, or attending multiple interview levels to make sure that a new hire will be a “fit” with the current team–Hey, if my team is going to spend time on Social Media, I am happy to reap the rewards.
