America’s Party Mood Slips 3 Points

Aug. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- The general party mood of the country receded over the last quarter according to a new August 2011 poll just released by Shindigz. More respondents reported their life mood as not as fun – a bit of a doggie downer.  
The poll was sent to Shindigz email subscribers who reported a life mood score of 62.7, down over three points since the last poll taken in May of 2011 which scored a 65.9. The poll was given to 3,598 people.
The Party Pulse question Shindigz asked was, “Compared to this season last year, would you characterize your life mood as…”
•   A ton more fun! Every day is like a little party!
•   A bit more fun – a slight spring in my step.
•   No better, no worse. Same old same old.
•   Not as fun – a bit of a doggie downer.
•   Much less fun. This ain’t no party!
“The recent downward trend may be reflecting a toll being taken by the jitters many are experiencing with recent wild stock market swings and employment concerns,” notes Keith Bansemer, Director of Internet Marketing at Shindigz. “This quarter’s Party Pulse life mood score is the first time we’ve seen the number fall and the lowest since we started measurements last year.”
Shindigz takes a new Party Pulse each quarter to track America’s party mood. The next measurement will be in November of 2011.  Life moods scores in November of 2010 and February of 2011 were 63.4 and 65.2 respectively.
