Aug. 24, 2011 - PRLog -- Over the next 4 years it is expected that rail fares are to rise by over 30%. Many people feel this is a rip off and could price countless people off trains as these increases will see people pay up to £10,000 for an annual season ticket.

“These prices could cause many people to have to get out poor credit loans just to be able to get to work or could even force people to stop travelling by rail completely,” said James Jones from Poor Credit Loans 4 You who specialise in helping to acquire poor credit loans for people throughout the UK.     http://www.poor-credit-loans-4-you.co.uk/poor-credit-loans-for-poor-credit-loan-poor-credit-rating-loans-with-poor-credit-loans.html

The average increase of ticket prices will be around 8% and with trains still running late and overcrowded many will feel these kind of price increases are not justified.

What may also anger many people is that Scotland will not be seeing such drastic increases to their prices as the government rejects imposing the higher rises in Scotland.

“Up until 2015 the prices are set to continue to rise, but nothing has been mentioned about improving the services of the trains, which the majority of people feel is already extremely low,” said James Jones from Poor Credit Loans 4 You.

Estimates produced by “The Campaign for Better Transport” showed that Swindon to London trains currently cost £7,024 and it is predicted that by 2015 this journey will cost around £9,008, that’s an increase of nearly £2,000 over a relatively short period of time.

Other journeys such as Norwich to London will also significantly rise, with that specific journey rising from £6,540 to £8,388, a £1,848 rise.

“These increases will slowly come into effect and when commuting to London, after adding the price of tube fares on top of the already hefty train prices, some people could be paying around £10,000 a year to get to work in 2015,” said James Jones form Poor Credit Loans 4 You.

The rises in the train fares were part of a plan that was put together under the old labour government and has been carried on by the current coalition government.

The main objective of these plans is to take the burden of paying for subsidised railways away from the tax payer and pass it on to the rail passengers.

“If you don’t travel by train you may feel that these changes are fair and that you shouldn’t have to pay taxes for a service that you don’t use,” said James Jones from Poor Credit Loans 4 You.         http://www.poor-credit-loans-4-you.co.uk/poor-credit-loan...

The increases apply to fares regulated by the government, Season tickets, most off-peak returns on longer distance routes and short distances, anytime singles and returns.

Richard Dyer, of Friends of the Earth said, “It’s a national scandal that train fares are to increase above inflation. Passengers in the UK already pay some of the highest rates in Europe.

Train firms stated that the money raised “will go straight to the government.”

“Many people throughout England are angry that Scotland have lower price increases and this only adds to the anger that was already there from Scotland getting free university education,” said Poor Credit Loans 4 You spokesperson James Jones.
