Aug. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- Children’s Progress, a leading provider of adaptive educational software for young students, today announced that Inc. Magazine named it one of the 5,000 fastest-growing companies nationwide.

Children’s Progress appears on the annual Inc. 500|5000 list for the third year in a row. As an Inc. 500|5000 honoree, the company shares a pedigree with notable list alumni such as Zappos, Microsoft, Patagonia, Oracle and many other independent entrepreneurs.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Inc. 500|5000 list. According to Inc. Magazine, the entrepreneurs on this year’s list have created 370,592 jobs in the past three years. On average, education companies on this year’s list experienced a 64% growth rate between 2007 and 2010. At 249%, Children’s Progress’ growth rate is almost four times the average.

“We’re honored to be featured on the list for the third consecutive year. Our ongoing success would be impossible without the dedication of our staff and ongoing feedback from our clients – hard-working educators all across the nation.” said Kevin Greaney, CEO and co-founder of Children’s Progress.

“Using data to drive decision-making is becoming increasingly important across industries, and especially in education. We’re excited to be making a difference in this field. Our goal remains the same: to provide teachers with quick and simple tools that will help them determine children’s needs and identify the best ways to help each child succeed,” said Dr. Eugene Galanter, Children’s Progress’ Chief Scientific Officer, Emeritus Professor and Quondam Director of the Columbia University Psychophysics Laboratory.

Inc. 500|5000 companies are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2007 through 2010. Complete results can be found at http://www.inc.com/inc5000/.
