Celebrity Speakers and Performers Added to “Well Done! NYC” Lineup

Sept. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Nationally recognized and New York City based celebrities and public figures are coming together to kick-off the First Annual “Well Done! NYC” Awards Benefit Wednesday, September 7 at Libations NYC from 6:00PM-10:00PM.  Rebecca King Crews--actress, song-writer, film director, aspiring Minister and executive producer of  BET’s “The Family Crews”—has been confirmed to speak at the inaugural event. Wife of former NFL player and comedic actor Terry Crews-- co-star in “White Chicks,” “Norbit,” “Soul Plane,” “The Expendables” and currently starring on TBS’ hit show “Are We There Yet?”--Rebecca is a sought after motivational speaker that has been featured on BET’s “106 + Park,” “The Wendy Williams Show” and “The Monique Show.”

Known for her sultry voice and popular late night show on Fresh 102.7, radio personality Jasmine Sanders will host the September 7th eco-green carpet affair honoring notable public figures Reverend Al. Sharpton, Founder and President of National Action Network; Majora Carter, Co-founder of Uptown Girl Power; Vy Higgensen, President of the Mamma Foundation for the Arts; and Gary Bagley, Executive Director of New York Cares.

Recently added to the line-up of extraordinary New Yorkers giving back,  Helen Troncoso, Ms. New York Belleza Latina 2011, and Lucinda Cross, Founder of Corporate Mom Dropouts and host of What’s Your Story on MomTV are set to speak at “Well Done! NYC.” The surprises don’t stop there as celebrity performers joining the festivities include R&B artist Clarisa Rose, rapper and producer Bones Brigante and BET’s  “106 + Park” house performers The Notorious Band.

During the ceremony a proclamation will be read from Public Advocate Bill de Blasio’s office declaring September 7 “Well Done! NYC” day. In addition, film producer and director Anky Cyriaque, founder of award-winning production house Hidden Film Studios, will unveil his short-film on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and New York City community activism.  

Regarded as one of New York City’s hottest turntablists, DJ Laa Choc will spin the 1’s and 2’s for the “Well Done! NYC” Awards Ceremony.  Convening in the Lower East Side for an evening of FUN-raising, guest will enjoy a 2-hr food and wine bar, silent auction hosted by jeweler Raymond Hakimi of Jewel of Ocean and Annisa Sahadath  of Madame’ Got Rocks; and premium goodie bags with products from Staples, Z-100, MEMI International - Health & Beauty product and more.
