Highland Community College Welcomes Jillian Maas Backman

Sept. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- Highland Community College of Highland, Kansas has invited author of BEYOND THE PEWS: Breaking With Tradition and Letting Go of Religious Lockdown., Jillian Maas Backman, to give a presentation titled, “The World View From Within,” on September 15, 2011   The presentation will be held in Culbertson Auditorium from 7:30-8:30 pm and is open to students and the public at no charge.  There will be a short meet and greet afterwards and the author will be available to sign books.

The message from “The World View From Within” will contain elements from the book, BEYOND THE PEWS, designed to share with the audience the stages of creating a personal spiritual identity.  In this “interactive biography,” Jillian Maas Backman, the acclaimed Intuitive Life Facilitator and award winning radio host, has woven the remarkable story of her life into a working lesson plan. The book guides readers along a journey of self-discovery and offers them valuable ways to connect to their own intuitive abilities.

Maas Backman says,” College is a time of exploring knowledge that can foster expansion in all three areas to greater heights than you can imagine.  However, there is only one element that will anchor and set you up for finding and living your true self into the future.  This element is your spirit, your soul that   needs to be the center of attention in your daily life, no matter what age we are.”

The information contained in BEYOND THE PEWS works synergistically with traditional beliefs, expanding the senses through tapping into the messages of the soul, leading to a greater awakening to God’s spirit and His divine plan. “The World View Within” says, in order to be successful in life you must nurture all aspects of yourselves, the mind, the body and most importantly, the Spirit, the soul.  People who make this their mission end up being good employees, effective loving parents, gracious partners and outstanding community leaders.

Jillian Maas Backman is is the quintessential preacher’s daughter— having been raised in the church and seeking to honor her faith tradition—who happened to discover her intuitive abilities early in childhood.
