Novelist Roger D. Grubbs releases the Fountain of Youth.

Sept. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- In an effort to find the truth, seven beautiful women who have received their PhDs under the competent guidance of Dr. Andrew Rogers set sail.  They have been summoned to make the voyage following the historic path of Juan Ponce de Leon.  They are to leave Puerto Rica on March 3rd, the exact day the famous journey began in 1513.  A crew of professional sailors has been hired to escort the young damsels across the treacherous Atlantic Ocean, hoping to arrive in St. Augustine, Florida, on or before April 2nd.  If successful, this trip by primitive sailboat will have provided the proof needed to confirm the likelihood of such a journey.

But, the unexpected happens.  Someone from their past is attempting to sabotage the mission and discredit these very competent women.  Ready to begin the journey, the young damsels find only minutes before casting off that their crew has deserted them.  Now what are they going to do?  Standing there on the dock filled with spectators, the lasses are sorely embarrassed.  With no time left to hire another crew, the inexperienced young women have no choice but to bow out, or do they?  That’s where the adventure begins.  The Santa Maria II sets sail.  The crew?  Who other than their mentor Dr. Andrew Rogers and his equally notable mate, Dr. Kathleen McGregor.  

Understaffed and inexperienced, the crew of the Santa Maria II sets sail.  Now not only are they put to the test of completing the journey, they are also challenged to a race!  Are they up to competing against a crew of professionals who have boarded a much larger ship?  Will they survive the perils of the seas including pirates?

There is only one way to find out!  You are invited to set sail with us as we search for the fountain of youth.  Be prepared to dodge cannonballs, outrun mysterious pursers, fight a host of pirates, find a few treasures, and still fall in love while doing so.
