Sept. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Learning content provider Video Arts has formed a partnership with Safari Books Online, enabling the company to add over 5,000 digital books to its online library of video and e-learning resources.

Video Arts clients can now gain instant online access to the latest books on business, management, technology and digital media by the world’s leading authors and publishers. The content can be viewed online - via a computer, smartphone or tablet device - or it can be downloaded and printed. Users can either read the full text of any book or flip to the pages they need. They can create bookmarks, highlight text, attach notes and compile favourites. An advanced search function also enables them to search for information or answers to questions.

“Safari Books Online offers a huge collection of titles that individuals can use to develop or update their professional skills and knowledge,” said Caroline Hyde, Director of Learning at Video Arts. “Having fully-searchable content at your fingertips is not only valuable for learning and development, it can also be used for research and problem solving. Adding this content to our existing digital library means we can offer our clients a much broader choice of resources.”

Martin Collinson, EMEA Sales Director for Safari Books Online, said: “We help organisations to increase their productivity and knowledge management by supplying content and learning resources that are relevant in today’s workplace. We also reduce the ‘time to information’ by making it easy for people to find the information they need. This partnership with Video Arts opens up access to our content to a wider audience. As a result, more people will be able to improve their skills by reading the best books available, whether that’s via a PC at work, a smartphone on the move or a tablet at home.”

The Video Arts digital library has 2,700 corporate video clips, 57 behavioural e-learning courses and 20 m-learning programmes for BlackBerry and Apple (iPhone, iPad and iPod touch) devices. 3,000 business, leadership, soft skills and IT e-learning courses from global e-learning provider MindLeaders ThirdForce can also be accessed through the library.
