New Hire Brings Client-side Perspective to Ding Communications

Sept. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Reno, Nev. - Colie McManus has joined Ding Communications, Inc., as an account executive. In prior positions, McManus worked on the advertising and marketing accounts for several high-profile northern Nevada companies, including University of Nevada Athletics, Lexus of Reno, Renown Health, Western Nevada Supply, Whittemore Peterson Institute, ACE High School and Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows.
In addition to her agency account manager skills, McManus has spent nearly three years on the client side of the fence, serving as marketing director for two privately held companies. Those previous roles have provided McManus a realistic appreciation of the pressures facing clients, and a deeper understanding of the role marketing and advertising play with larger, overall company objectives. The perspective serves both her and her Ding clients well.
“Having lived in the clients’ shoes,” McManus said of her prior positions, “affords me a distinct vantage point. I can more fully appreciate and am better able to articulate to the agency the true scope of the client’s needs. At the same time, I am able to communicate Ding’s objective marketing insight as we work to achieving stated marketing goals.”
Prior to joining Ding, McManus implemented and oversaw consistent brand management and messaging for both Optek Music Systems and Luxury Bath. In addition, she managed the advertising and public relations programs for both companies, as well as trade show and lead generation initiatives.
Prior to her client-side experience, McManus was an account executive for another Reno-based agency, and a media buyer for local media placement firm.
In her off-duty hours, McManus can be found playing both female and co-ed league soccer. During the winter, she is perfecting her snowboarding skills on the resort hills overlooking Reno.
