Police officers and social workers in the area will be attending this anger and stress management seminar.
By: Edmund Benson The ARISE Drop It at the Door training provides participants with a solid understanding of how to drop - home and work-related anger, stress and frustration - “at the door.” This unique training provides a series of practical tools for reducing the boomerang effect of anger, and extremely stressful situations that police officers face every day on the streets. ARISE Drop it at the Door training also provides positive steps for controlling the devastating effects of emotional and physical forces that often bounce back and forth between work and home. This powerful anger and stress management workshop prepares participants to deal with unrelenting pressure and sometimes horrific situations in a more positive and empathetic manner. In 14 hours, ARISE trains those working in incredibly tough professions how to avoid negative confrontation by using proven techniques and strategies, developed and documented from experience gained during the past 25 years. For years the ARISE Drop It At The Door training program has been extremely successful in the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, where it has been used to train Residential, Detention and Probations officers with documented, evidence based success. In the past 3-4 years, ARISE has expanded its Drop it at the Door program to include other government agencies such as police and corrections departments that require employees to confront difficult and often dangerous situations on a daily basis. Since ARISE was established in 1986, it has trained and certified over 5,531 ARISE Life-Skills Group Facilitators who have taught over 4,824,576 documented hours (averaging 13,646 hours per month) of the interactive ARISE Life Skills lessons to at-risk youth and teens across the United States and beyond. The ARISE program is in use in Canada, Jamaica, England, Australia, Bahamas, Bermuda, New Zealand, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Bosnia, Kazakhstan, The Kingdom of Bahrain, South Africa, Vietnam, Uganda, Nigeria and Haiti. Opportunity ARISE Foundation, a nonprofit organization, is happy to offer police officers and social workers in Palm Beach, FL the opportunity to attend our evidence-based anger and stress management training. This training will help participants cope with their high-stress jobs. ARISE's mission is to help those working with at-risk and underserved populations do their job more effectively and efficiently. # # # Provide valuable ARISE life skills and staff training to at-risk youth and the adults who care for them.
