2012 London Paralympics Torch Relay

The torch relay programme of Paralympic will comprise of four separate ceremonies in all the respective nations of UK. The 24-hour Torch Relay will follow these ceremonies from Stoke Mandeville to Olympic Stadium.

On 24th August 2012, first flame lighting event will be organized in London. The unique flame lighting event will be held during the bank holiday weekend, Greater Belfast, Edinburgh and Cardiff. Flame relay will be held all over at local community groups and key locations all over the city.

Evening celebration, Flame festival will be held in every city, which features flame themed entertainment along with lantern procession. During a special ceremony, all the four flames will be combined at Stoke Mandeville. This is the home of the Paralympic Movement on 28th August.
