Steven Maglio Sings for the Cause

Sept. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Performer extraordinaire Steven Maglio will make a special appearance as a musical guest at the highly anticipated charity event  “Sing for the Cause”, on Friday evening October 14th, 2011, at Appetito Ristorante, 47 W 39th Street, New York, NY, at 7pm-1am.

Joining Mr. Maglio at this star-studded event will be The Real Housewives of New York City (RHONYC), Alex McCord, Simon Van Kempen and Countess LuAnn de Lesseps.  The RHONYC will host the talent-filled evening that will recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Mr. Maglio has been chosen to sing the quintessential song, New York, New York, and judge the talent/karaoke competition.

“I’m quite honored to be performing at Sing for the Cause, and look forward to judging the talent contest as well” says Mr. Maglio, “I’ll be singing a great song to help a good cause!”

As an acclaimed singer of standards, Steven Maglio is greatly regarded for his renditions of songs made popular by Frank Sinatra.

His long running nightclub act, Sounds of Sinatra, at The Carnegie Club (156 West 56th Street) is a testament to his talent and longevity. Every Saturday evening he swings with the 11- piece Stan Rubin Orchestra as part of two featured shows...Sinatra: Remembering The Sands," at 8:30PM followed by "Sinatra Songs" at 10:30PM.

Quoting Sidney Zion, New York Daily News columnist and friend of Frank Sinatra, after seeing Steven perform at The Carnegie Club, “If Frank Sinatra could have seen the show you just did, you would be the one he’d choose to continue singing his songs.”

Most recently he performed with Deana Martin (Deana Martin Variety Show with Sinatra conductor Vincent Falcone).  Previous outstanding performances include shows at The Rainbow Room, The Blue Note, Feinsteins, The Sands Hotel in Atlantic City, to The Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, and so many more.

Not only an acclaimed entertainer, he is a working actor, appearing in “Once More With Feeling,” starring Chazz Palminteri and Drea de Matteo, and the soon to be released, “Goat,” which features an all-star cast headed by Armand Assante and Ice-T.
