In appearance, A9N black front with four touch buttons, followed by the search button, back button, MENU button and Home button, front 2-megapixel camera in the upper left corner. Appearance
The appearance of a9n is the same as the one in the picture, except that the back is pasted with the sticker 2.0M instead of 3.2M, but no biggy as the system reports that it can capture at 3.0M. Mine is the white version. The built is sturdy, no shaking parts.

Display
LCD screen is bright and sharp. So far no dead pixel or bleeding issue. At 1024x600, the device can comfortably display more without you straining your eye. This is a joy when surfing.

Sound
Sound is loud and clear. Have yet to try playing mp3, so far played plant vs zombies, the music and sound effects are crisp and clear.

Mic
Microphone is at the side of the device, i almost mistook it as the reset button. the effect on the mic is acceptable. When i try the software talk panda, it is able to pick up pretty well when i speak softly. When i try it on my ipad 2 on talking carl, i almost have to shout for the app to register.

3g
This supports WCDMA. The speed is amazing. I tried downloading games from appchina.com. 70+mb games can be downloaded within sub 5 mins. Very impressive.

Phone
Since mine is a data sim, i m not able to test out this part. but hey, i dun think anybody wants to hold such a big device to their ear though. So to me this is a nice to have feature, but not a must have.

Speed
The device is speedy. No lags when selecting different options from menu, or in game. So far tried plant vs zombie, very much similar with how you play it on pc, no lag, graphics is the same.

Battery
The battery life is pretty decent, with wifi and 3g mixed usage, i have gotten 3.5 close to 4 hrs of usage on the first charge. hopefully after a few cycles, the battery can last longer. Only 1 small quirk though.. the battery meter doesnt always seems to reflect the true amount of battery. When charge to 100%, and i pull out the plug, the battery immediately drop to 95%, when plug in again, it goes back to 100%. Probably a software issue that needs ironing out here..

Camera
Camera at best is only decent. Can be used for quick snaps, but not for those who are into details and quality.

Wifi
Wifi signal is acceptable. i was in another room beside the one that the wifi router resides and sometimes i can get 2 bar signal.

Storage
When i receive the device, i can see 580mb free for internal memory, and 5.8gb for built in memory which is reported as an SD card.

Quirks
Well, there are 2 quirks that i found, one is the battery charge which will drop 5% or more immediately after pulling out the charger, and another is the report of free memory, i get a negative follow by a long strong of numbers. So far, currentwidget is not functioning, it kept complaining no data. SetCPU is also not working. Have reflected the battery quirk to Sunny from House of DAP. He is very friendly and assured me that this is a software issue which hopefully can be resolved in future. He even tried to test out his existing sets just to confirm this issue for me. Thanks Sunny. Appreciate that. If you are able to pass me the current and 1.1 rom it will be even greater so that i can have a backup of it.

To flash
Gotten the instruction from another source. In order to flash, you will need to download whatever rom file, extract all the files inside. will contain lots of .bin files. Then copy all these extracted files to the root of your SD card. shutdown your machine, hold the power and down button until you feel your device keep vibrating continuously. This vibration will last for ard 2-3 mins, and then starts the process of flashing. If the device vibrate intermittently, like vibrate 1 sec, stop 1 sec, vibrate 1 sec, stop 1 sec, with the screen flashing white with the vibration, then most prob you do not have the .bin files in the root of the sd card. try again.

Overall
This machine is pretty good for a 7" tablet. Nice size makes it easier to hold as compared to an ipad 2. The screen is crisp and sharp, net surfing is fast, and with the dual core, there is no lag when switching between applications.
