Stephanie Goins, Co-Founder of My Wonderful Walls, Is Recognized by Hollins University

Sept. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- In 1995, Stephanie Goins graduated from Hollins University with a double major in Spanish and Economics. Although those two fields of study may seem very different, Stephanie has taken the skills learned while in those fields of study and put them to use to cultivate a full, exciting, and impactful life.

In 2008, she and her husband started My Wonderful Walls, which is a unique online-based business that supplies one-of-a-kind wall stencils, murals, and stickers internationally.  The Chattanooga, Tennessee-based business relies on the ingenuity, creativity, business savvy, and passion of Stephanie and her husband to keep the bright and fun designs rolling out the doors and into the homes of countless families.  

Stephanie is a proud graduate of Hollins University, and the University has recently returned the favor by selecting her as a finalist to be featured in the premier issue of the Hollins University online magazine. The feature focuses on successful alumnae that are having a positive impact on their families and communities, and Stephanie definitely fits that bill in more ways than one.

Looking back over fifteen years, you would see that Stephanie Goins, although not always on the entrepreneurial track that she currently is taking, was still being prepared for a life of creative service that is focused on bringing light and learning to others. With her diverse yet highly focused skill set, Stephanie left college after graduation to travel with the Peace Corps and ended up spending time in Guatemala, where she worked with local youth and indigenous weavers. Following that, she taught Spanish at Phoenix Country Day School in Paradise Valley, AZ.

A few years later, while she was busy earning her Masters in Spanish Language and Culture at Arizona State University, Stephanie taught Spanish to college-level students. After finishing her time as a teacher and student, Stephanie moved back to the states, started a family, and set her sights on fulfilling another lifelong passion: turning her entrepreneurial bent into a reality.

After many years, those passions came to pass in the opening of My Wonderful Walls. The Goins’ business specializes in manufacturing wall murals, stencil kits, and more, all of which are geared toward making kid’s rooms and nurseries come alive with color, pictures, and imaginative characters and nature scenes.

To gain entry into the University’s online magazine feature selection process, Stephanie chose to submit a sample of their Garden Wall Sticker Kit – a popular, whimsical wall decal kit that features flowers, butterflies, a gorgeous tree, and more. It was no surprise when the University jumped at the chance to run a story on Stephanie, as her and her husband’s amazing story and the love and creativity they have put into every product that is available on the My Wonderful Walls website is truly remarkable.
