Over 400 women are ready to battle it out at the TiE Stree Shakti Awards 2011 to be held in Mumbai on 30th Septrember 2011. The call for entries had been initiated through its constituent ecosystem in June 2011; and Indian women entrepreneurs with an annual turnover from INR 1 lac to INR 25 Crores were invited to apply in one of the four different categories viz. Micro, Small, Emerging and Medium Enterprise. The awards have, in the past felicitated women entrepreneurs from various socio - cultural backgrounds.

Speaking on the same, Mr. (Manak Singh, Executive Director TiE Mumbai) said, "For us at TiE Stree Shakti, every woman entrepreneur is an achiever, irrespective of whether she wins the award. With this spirit, we constantly profile women entrepreneurs who have applied and have engaged with TiE Stree Shakti. Currently we have received applications from over 40 Indian cities.

The two day function under the aegis of TiE Stree Shakti will include mentoring engagements, guidance boot camps, and intense discussions around several core themes with emphasis on understanding all aspects of managing a successful business such as fundraising, HR, marketing and power talk with Sudha Murthy, Chanda Kochar, Vinita Bali, Preetha Reddy among others.

Select TiE Stree Shakti applicants could also be nominated (as per eligibility criteria) for ICICI Bank's Emerging India Awards for the 'Women Entrepreneur of The Year Category'. There is also a mentoring session and business guidance boot camps!!
