Sk8Wars Line Up Update for Upcoming Urban Battle and Concert Event

Sept. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Sk8Wars, Urban Skateboard Association and Action Sports Hub Team Up to Create One of the Biggest Concert/Skate Competitions of 2011 – the “Sk8 Wars Urban Battles AM Tour”

Action Sports Hub is pleased to announce the participation in the most exciting skate/concert event in LA County for 2011.

The first SK8 Wars Urban Battle AM Tour will take place at the venerated Hollywood Park on Halloween weekend, October 29, 2011 for a full one-day event. The $2,000 cash and prizes skate competition is a jam format. A specialty skate park is being built inside the Hollywood Park, so the most innovative riders, tricksters, grinders and chargers will be able to show off their talent for the 1st place grand prize of $1,000 dollars. Hosted by celebrity skater, Anthony Mosley and Mosley will be joined by a few surprise skate superstars, who will serve as judges and be available for photo ops.

The concert will be intertwined throughout the days competition and will rock Hollywood Park with performances from The Bots, Hopsin, Awaken the Empire, The Rej3ctz and DJ ReFlex.

A thrilling skate competition, great bands and 30 + vendors of Action Sports, Food, Beverages and other types of entertainment is the perfect combination for a fabulous family fun-filled day.

SK8 Wars is an amateur street skating competition that brings the world of extreme sports to the inner city. There are some true inner city skating talents and the Urban Skateboard Association , Action Sports Hub and the Sk8 Wars Urban Battle Competition will turn the spotlight on them. Sk8 Wars and the Urban Skateboard Association recognize the needs for positive alternatives to keep kids physically fit educated, entertained and the Sk8 Wars Amateur Tour and Concert provides a safe forum for friendly competition and quality entertainment. Think of SK8 Wars as one big party that can and will change the lives of every kid who is there. It is part X Games, part musical festival and features up and coming skaters, bands, apparel and skating-related products.

The Urban Skateboard Association (USA ) was brought to life through the visionary efforts of Skate Wars producer William Lee Lamar. A non-profit organization, Urban Skateboarding Association,(USA) is a community outreach organization that is giving young urban skaters a way to gain exposure and real experience, as well as, exposes them to the extensive business and career opportunities. The world of extreme sports is a multi-billion dollar industry that has carved out an immovable and incredibly loyal niche arena in the world of sports, but this behemoth industry has largely excluded the urban youth of America. Skate Wars wants to bridge that gap between the world of extreme sports and the inner city.

Action Sports Hub (ASH) brings together two industries that are currently changing the next generation's future in sports. Action Sports and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Through ASH (www.actionsportshub.com) and CornerMan MMA (www.MMA.ActionSportshub.com) ASH will give commentary on the Action Sports & MMA Industry from the Athletes to Companies and Products to Events.
