By: 2039 Media Group Radio Talk show entitled "State of the Black Union" - aimed at political awareness for African American and Minority youth. Produced by 2039 Media Group on the Blogtalk Radio Network, The show is designed to make political issues important to the 17-35 year old demographic by covering all the hottest topics, issues, stories, and people in African American Politics. State of the Black Union will have a mix of feature guest, politicians, community activist, authors, and citizens making a difference in the community. Combined with Music, Chat Rooms, and Call in Commentary this show brings a new twist to a topic often considered "old folks" stuff. "considering the political climate we live in, its imperative that young African Americans and minorities get involved and educated about government" says Brian about his new show "We can't complain about the way our community is if we don't go to the polls and vote for the change we so desperately need" The show will also feature two co-host, Charles Johnson who is a 2011 Graduate of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School and member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Charles has worked with Assistant Attorney Generals, drafting motions, pleadings, conduct depositions of witnesses, and legal research for the state and federal cases that go to trial. He is passionate about educating young people on the way the laws work. Also hosting is Lashuda Campbell, a graduate of Fort Valley State University, now working on her Masters Degree in Public Relations at Syracuse University.She is a successful Photojournalist, Community Advocate and founder of the Political blog League of Young Voters Education Fund http://www.99problems.org State of the Black Union is designed to do the impossible, make politics cool to young people.
