Tracii Guns special guests on “Live From Music City.”

Sept. 27, 2011 - PRLog -- Nashville, TN – “Live From Music City,” a weekly radio show that airs on Tuesday nights at 8:00 pm CST on blog talk radio (www.blogtalkradio.com/live-from-music-city), welcomes iconic guitarist Tracii Guns (www.traciigunsofficial.com)  as special guest to discuss his music career.

Tracii Guns is an iconic guitarist who has played with numerous well known bands and solo artists. His signature guitar playing is reminiscent of early Aerosmith and Van Halen, but in the last couple of decades he has added his own special flair creating the backbone for a unique and innovative sound, becoming oe of the most influential guitarists to emerge out of the 80s Hollywood scene. His creative repertoire is also impressive as he is registered as a composer/songwriter on more than 137 titles.

He put his first band together when he was 12 or 13, but his real important adventure in music was in 1983 when he formed L.A. Guns with singer Michael Jagosz, bass payer Ole Beich and drummer Rob Gardner. When Jagosz had to leave the band soon after, Axl Rose of Hollywood Rose replaced him.

In 1985, Tracii formed a new band with Hollywood Rose frontman Axl Rose. They put the two band names together and thus “Guns ‘N’ Roses” was formed, but they both finally went their separate ways and Tracii rejoined L.A. Guns (http://www.lagunsofficial.com).

L.A. Guns’ first album (titled “L.A. Guns”) sold over 1 million copies, earning the band its first platinum album award, and the video compilation won the band its first gold video award. Their second album went platinum in 1989, and a second gold video award. “Live From Music City” reaches and appeals to singers/musicians who have achieved at least mid-level entry points in their careers. We try to help the artists define the steps they need to take to advance their careers.

We discuss a variety of topics through commentary and with guests to showcase their roles within the performing and recording industry. We also focus on the music business from the perspective of service to the artist, as well as how the artist can achieve the next levels of success.

While we concentrate on the roles of the “insiders,” we will also include recording artists themselves to better understand and explore the relationship between the two."
