Sept. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- Patrick D. McCoy, The African American Voice in Classical Music urges the New York City press to discover the talents the young soprano Brandie Sutton, who will sing her Manhattan debut recital in Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Center, Saturday Oct 1 at 7:30 p.m .  McCoy has attended numerous recitals by Ms. Sutton, including her debut recital at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D. C.

"Personally, I feel that Ms. Sutton not only possess the musical gifts, but also the charm and personality to enjoy an international career in classical music.  The lyric quality of her voice and physical beauty are very reminiscent to the great African-American soprano, Kathleen Battle." Mr. McCoy stated.  Sutton is the First Place Winner of the Ben Holt Memorial Branch of the National Association of Negro Musicians, Inc. Vocal Competition and a recipient of The American Prize.

The soprano is an alumna of Oakwood University and recently earned a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Catholic University of America.
