Oct. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- Barbara Kline, President of Breakthru Communications www.breakthrucom and Founder of Breakthru Center www.breakthrucenter.com located in Corrales, New Mexico is set for a keynote talk on the “FOUR PILLARS OF START-UP SUCCESS” in Los Angeles at the LAX Hilton on Saturday, October 1 at 12 noon. Kline is sharing the dais with Southern California motivational business leaders like Nolan Bushnell, Founder of Atari.

Kline, a serial entrepreneur and Internet Talk Radio show host for KLINEONLINE.com speaks internationally on such business motivation and informational topics as: “Four Pillars of Startup Success”; “The Jobs Crisis:  Why Second Stage Companies Are the Rock Stars of the 21st Century (Most People Just Don’t Know It Yet)”, and “Why Can’t a Woman be more like a Man?:  Are Women Business Leaders Falling Prey to Our Own Stereotypes?”.

Well known in New Mexico for her regional and statewide leadership for such trade groups as NAWBO (National Assn of Women Business Owners), New Mexico Angel Investors Group, Corrales MainStreet and other community event programs such as the upcoming NAWBO Means Business workshop in November, is a featured co-author in the new business motivational book titled HEART OF SUCCESS to be published this Fall.

Since 1989 Kline has headed Breakthru Communications, and prior to that had an extensive background in high tech marketing and product development for Intel Europe and such leaders as HP and Marvell Semiconductors.

Kline introduced Breakthru Center in Corrales earlier this summer with the launch of her business radio series KLINE ONLINE that has featured such major business personalities and executives as Rob Kelley, Partner with Z2M4 high technology marketing company; Carolyn Morris, Owner of MaxWest, Inc.; and John Chavez, President of New Mexico Angels, Inc. You can listen to archived shows by going to www.kline-online.com.

“Breakthru Center is a natural extension of what I helped move my clients through in more than 30 years of marketing and business consulting,” said Kline.  “When entrepreneurs understand what makes a startup a hit and what has to change operationally and fiscally as a company grows, it make a huge difference in the success of transitioning from the former to the latter.”

“Breakthru Center allows me to reach out to other business experts through KlineOnline radio, and our message targeted at raising awareness of the skills and opportunities of growing a startup to a successful second stage company that benefits the owner, the employees and the community, is leading to invitations to speak in a variety of venues including conferences, universities, and workshops around the country.”

The mission of Breakthru Center, according to Kline is support and demystify the process of growing a start-up into a sustainable company through the process of second stage growth, and it even has a special division aimed at developing training and continuing education resources for women called I Break Thru!.

In her popular talk on FOUR PILLARS OF START-UP SUCCESS, Kline explains that valuable skill sets change as companies grow.  Passion, adequate funding, technical savvy and leadership are necessary to get a start up off the ground, but entrepreneurs need to consider whether they want to develop management skills or bow out to create next “new new thing”.  There will come a stage when management skills such as organizational, human resources and more comprehensive financial controls and broader based marketing and sales strategies become the order of the day. The ability to manage second stage growth is one of the drivers of the 21st Century, but it is an underappreciated skill set in our startup culture.
