FICCI-FLO Launches Helpline For Women Entrepreneurs

FICCI-FLO Lists A Swayam Helpline For A Better Mumbai. Panelists come together and address three issues that present Mumbai from becoming a world class city: disposal of wastes, inadequate transportation system and congestion / population.

Oct. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- Mumbai,

What do Niranjan Hiranandani, Meera Sanyal, Ashwini Bhide( Additional Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA Mumbai), Pranab Dutta and Tasneem Mehta have in common?A passion for a better Mumbai; not just empty passion but passion accompanies by concrete ideas.

Is it a good idea to 'gender the city' and make it safer for women? How can we work on bio mimicry; whereby we find non-polluting substitutes to everyday disposables? Do we have to emulate a Shanghai or a Tokyo or come up with our own unique solution.

Trashing nomenclature such as spirit of Mumbai which is more abused than used in the right context; the panel agreed that "there should be ideas; not lead in all thinking heads"

Extending the 'Swayam' helpline for women entreprenuers with a link on social media titled 'Vision Mumbai'; Sucheta Shah - Chairperson FLO Bombay Chapter hopes to collect and implement usable ideas from the young and the old alike.

Also present was eminent banker & event sponsors Mr. Abhay Laijawala (from Deutche Bank) and environmentalist Bittu Sahgal. Tasneem Mehta, Honorary Director and Managing Trustee of Bhau Daji Lad Museum, amongst the other FICCI FLO members present were Maloo Natarajan, Falguni Padode& Parvathy Ramaswamy.
